How To Configure Grading Format

This feature is found under the MIS Coordinator role but can be configured to be under any role as the school requires.

How to locate 'Configure Grade Format' on SRMS. 

1. Log in to your account and locate the 'Configure Grade Format' as shown below.
      

2. Click 'Configure Grade Format. A window will be displayed as shown below.



The Configure Grade Format is categorized into three (3):

a. Default Grade Format.

b. Session Grade Format.

c. Sub-Program Grade Format.                                                                                                           

Default Grade Format: This is the default school-wide configuration and it consists of five (5) steps:

 1. Grade: This is the alphabet that is used to determine the performance of a student. 

 2. Start Range: This feature determines the starting range of a grade.

 3. End Range (Exclusive): This feature determines the end range of a grade: this means an exclusion of 1. For instance, if the End Range is 40 then this implies that the End Range will be 39 and also when the End Range is configured as 45 the End Range will be 44 and so on.

 4. Description: This is the description of what grade a student has in a course.

 5. Grade Point: The unit of a grade.

 How to Configure Grade in the Default Grade Format

a. Click 'Configure Grade'. You will get the pop-up below; make the desired changes and click 'Save'.                                                     

  b. To add a grade, click 'Add'

        

               

         

    c. Enter Grade.

    d. Enter End Range (Exclusive).

    e. Enter Description.   

    f.  Enter Grade Point.

    g. Enter Class.

    h. Click 'Save' to save configuration. 

Session Grade Format: This feature allows you to configure grades for sessions that have a different grading format from the default grading format

How to Configure Grade in the Session Grade Format

a. Click 'Session Grade Format' 

b. Click 'Select Session'. You will get the drop-down list; as shown below:
          

c. Select 'Session' to which you want to configure Grades and click 'Configure Grade'. You will get the pop-up below.
          
   d. Enter Grade.

   e. Enter End Range (Exclusive).

   f. Enter Description.

   g.  Enter Grade Point.

   h. Enter Class.

   i. Click 'Add' to add more grade as shown below:

 
   j. Click 'Save' to save configuration as shown below:
                                                                                                                          
  k. To Delete a particular grade, click the red X sign to delete the grade; as shown below.
         

The Session Grade Format also has the Delete Grades feature that allows you to delete a session grading format.

 How to Delete Grades in the Session Grade Format

a. Click 'Session Grade Format'.

b. Click 'Select Session'. You will get the drop-down list; as shown below:                                 
 

c. Select the desired Session of Grades you want to delete. Click 'Delete  Grade' to delete the grades as shown below.                                                                                                                                                                    

The Sub-program Grade Format: A sub-program that has a different grading format can be configured using the sub-program grading format feature.

How to Configure a Grade in the sub-program Grade format

a. Click 'Sub-program Grade Format' and Select the desired sub-program you want to configure; as shown below.                                                                                          

b. Click 'Configure Grades'. You will get the pop-up below.                                                   
         
 
   c. Enter Grade.

   d. Enter End Range (Exclusive).

   e. Enter Description.

   f.  Enter Grade Point.

   g. Enter Class.

   h. Click 'Add' to add more grade as shown below:                                                                

   i. Click 'Save' to save the configuration as shown below:                                                 
         

  j. To Delete a particular grade, click the red X sign to delete the grade; as shown below.                     

            

The Sub-Program Grade Format also has Delete Grades feature that allows you to delete a desired sub-program grading format.

How to Delete Grades in the Sub-Program Grade Format

a. Click 'Sub-Program Grade Format.

b. Select the desired sub-program whose grades you want to delete. 

c. Click 'Delete Grades' to delete the grades as shown below.
